DIfferentiation Mythbusters

What IS differentiation?  Well, today's rotation provided the opportunity for me to spend 20 minutes in a rotation filled with various activities.  It was set up with 5 different QR codes.  Codes 1-4 could be accessed in any order.  They ranged from a PDF, ThingLink, a video and a Google Doc with an inserted  gif.  Initially, upon entering the room, we all commented on what differentiation meant to us, via Padlet. The 5th QR code of the station asked us to revisit our answer and comment on someone else's...post-differentiation practice.  We were able to read about it, hear about it, see about it.

I think this is a great way to introduce material to students.  Give them a topic to comment on at the start of class.  If you give them different ways to attain the information and loop back around to what their initial ideas were, they have an opportunity to change their ideas or build on them.

And THAT is differentiation.
